Sony Ericsson K800i review and Live photos

The Unlocked Sony Ericsson K800i is a sophisticated looking, but somewhat bulky, candy-bar shaped mobile phone. Its velvety matte black case isn't prone to smudges or scratches but we did find the large 2-inch screen prone to fingerprints.

I have had the K800i for quite some time now. It's true, the phone is really good, have had no problems with it so far, but I would be lying if I said it never froze. But let's be frank I am sure your laptops frozen a dozen times more. & I was playing with it, playing the music player & editing a video at the same time.

The picture quality from the camera is great, the Flash is real strong (for a mobile phone) though I generally tend to turn it off (personal preference). It's got all the features that you would need. But yes annoyingly the camera flap cover does come open accidentally within the pocket.

Perfect phone in almost every aspect, great display quality, nice feel to the touch, feels solid. On the other hand with moderate use I'll be lucky to get over 2 days without recharging. The T9 feature although works well when it knows the word it's a bit annoying when you have to spell a word,

The design is OK, all very good apart from the camera. The camera has a very large cover that is very easy to accidentally open (activating the camera). It has everything you would expect, I did not find anything that it was missing.

The camera is not as good quality as my W800i & W810i. I have tested it thoroughly & the outcome is very strange, as the K800i claims to have a 3.2MP camera, & these other two have only have 2.0MP camera.

The display is very good, one of its best features. It is very easy to use, no trouble there, until 10 months passed & the joystick started to cause problems. I would not recommend this phone now, go for a newer model without a joystick.

GET THIS! I had a Sony K800i a year ago & after 6 months of pleasure & fun, taking photos with its FANTASTIC camera & HILARIOUS face warp feature, I left it in the back of a taxi one night, & it was never to be seen again. I was GUTTED! As it wasn't INSURED.
