This was my first Walkman phone, brought it just over four months ago, & lost it last weekend. In a way I am upset, but I am also not. Although I loved the style & design of the phone & the editing features, I had more hassle with it than any other I've had.

Firstly about six of the number keys cracked within a couple weeks of using it, I thought it must have been me pressing too hard or something silly until three of my friends who brought it after me had the same problem

I bought this phone in August and within 2 weeks the number 7 key cracked. Managed to get a replacement within 28 days and all was ok until recently when the walkman and return keys appear to be sticking and working against each other so the phone opens and closes applications constantly even when not touching the phone at all! I will be getting a replacement as I love this phone...bar its few downpoints...If Sony can sort out the problems it would be a great little phone!

I had one Sony Ericsson before, I liked the phone a lot, but it was not properly built. That's why I hesitated a bit for this one. It is a great phone, I really, really love it, it has everything I need from a phone, including a very nice music player & very! Loud ringtones, but don't accuse people of in proper use. Button's should not crack unless you stand on it or drive over it with your car. They are made to be pressed!

This is possibly the best phone I have had. I generally get a new mobile every 6 months, or less if something I really like the look of comes out. I've had it now for about 2 months & had now problems. The sound quality is fantastic. After having an N80 its a pleasure to have a thin, lightweight phone. It's the usual SE menu options so nothing new there. The battery life is very long too & can last me for a couple of days without charging it. And that's listening to music & playing games for over 2 hours everyday travelling to & from work. The quality of the screen is superb. There are 3 things I don't like about it - 1) No flash for the camera, 2) The socket is in middle of the right side which can be in the way when listening to music & playing a game/texting & 3)all the games are demos. But even with those things I still will be giving it 5 stars.

 

Button Design Flaw (Cyphar, Texas)

I dig Sony and though this phone is not a catastrophe, it did not live up to my expectations. It does look good and the music capabilites are strong, but the durability is low. Every button except the 5 have cracks on them because the cover is bigger than the actual button beneath (except on the 5 key). After extended use, especially texting, they crack and begin to flake away. Since like most phones, the buttons are lighted when the phone is active, they look especially crappy. For one of those Nextel construction worker phones, it wouldn't matter... but Sony billed this model as sleek and sexy, which falls flat when the keypad ends up looking like a sun-baked dashboard after only three or four months of use. (And PS I am not a frequent texter)

I've had it a few weeks now and overall it was fine at first but now there the call key has fallen off..Also I have never dropped it and one day when I opened it I see a black line on the display..A week has gone by and that line has multiplied to the point that a 1/3 of my screen is unviewable..Very Dissappointed..Do not buy..
